Understanding your mind.
To truly achieve positive thinking, we need to first understand its enemy: “negative thinking”.
Negative thinking could be defined as unwanted destructive thoughts or emotions that are not under our control.
So if it is not under our control, what is controlling it? The answer is in a book.
In the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health that negative 90% is defined as the “reactive mind” - that part of your mind that stores all painful experiences, then uses them against you.
The reactive mind “reacts”. The same way a bull uncontrollably reacts to the color red, the reactive mind finds triggers that make a person “react” against her will. With time, a person’s painful experiences usually increase, and so do the triggers.
Here is the good news. It is possible to get rid of the reactive mind and turn that negative 90% to a positive one, once again.
