The books offered on our online bookstore are authored by L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of Dianetics and Scientology.
WHAT IS DIANETICS?
The word “Dianetics” is derived from the Greek words dia – “through”, and nous – “mind or soul”. In other words, “what the mind (or soul) is doing to the body”.
The book Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health provides a practical method that can help alleviate unwanted sensations, emotions, irrational fears and stress, thus helping you discover and use your true full potential.
Dianetics deals with the mind and is the forerunner and a sub-study of Scientology.
WHAT IS SCIENTOLOGY?
The word “Scientology” is derived from the Latin word Scio - “knowing, in the fullest sense of the word”, and the Greek word logos - “study of”. Thus Scientology means “knowing how to know”.
Developed by L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology is a religion that offers a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and one’s relationship to self, family, groups, Mankind, all life forms, the material universe, the spiritual universe and the Supreme Being.
Scientology addresses the spirit—not the body or mind—and believes that Man is far more than a product of his environment, or his genes.
Scientology is not a dogmatic religion in which one is asked to accept anything on faith alone. On the contrary, one discovers for oneself that the principles of Scientology are true by applying its principles and observing or experiencing the results.
